Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in violin performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Music degree in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy from The Hartt School, Calida has honed her craft with a commitment to excellence and a passion for teaching.

Calida presented a workshop for The Cleveland Orchestra’s teaching artists for one of our in-school programs. It was spectacular! Not only did she share her passion, stories, and experience with us, but she inspired and activated many of us to be more for our students. She handled uncomfortable topics with ease and grace by opening up herself and inviting us to trust her. We came away with many action items and a few challenges for our teaching artists this year. We can’t wait to invite her back for more!
